Burwood Open Blitz Tournament June (FIDE Rated)

$40 per tournament ($50 if paid on the day of the tournament)

There are short breaks between rounds.

Format: 

Each tournament is a ‘Swiss’ competition (approximately 9 rounds). This means that all players play 9 games and no-one is ‘knocked out’ of the tournament. The tournament is open for everyone, including unrated players.
The time limit is 3+2 minutes per player per game. That means each player has 3 minutes at the start and gains 2 seconds for each move.
This tournament will be ACF rated and FIDE rated. 

Prizes: 

1st place: $200
2nd place: $150
3rd place: $100

Best player under 2000 ACF: Book prize
Best player under 1600 ACF: Book prize

Conditions of Entry:
All foreign players must have a FIDE Identification number. Australian Citizens & Permanent residents without FIDE ID numbers will need to provide DOB prior to the start of the event, or their entry will not be accepted. Foreign players without a FIDE ID number will not be accepted. They will need to obtain a FIDE ID number from their National Federation and advise that number, prior to their entry being accepted.

Children under the age of 18:
- You must be an Australian Citizen, or a permanent resident, or have a FIDE ID as a Licensed Player.

Players 18 years of age or over:
- You must be an Australian Citizen, or a permanent resident, or have a FIDE ID as a Licensed Player.

If you are not a FIDE Licensed Player, you must ensure that the FIDE License fee is paid before entering the tournament.
It is best to contact your overseas FIDE federation and follow the correct procedure.
