Online Workshops - Spring

What happens in Online Workshops?

Each chess workshop runs for one to three hours depending on the level, and is split into two sessions - teaching and playing. There are 4 different courses run at various times during the holiday period.

Chess classes are conducted through an online platform called Whereby. Our chess coach shares his/her teaching screen and shows a particular chess strategy on a chess board.

Topics covered are: openings, middle game, endgame strategy, tactics, and master games.

NEW! Absolute Beginner group will learn the pieces, the basic movements and the rules of chess.

During the playing session, children play chess on our platform called Chess Squad (www.chesssquad.com). The coach watches the students play and gives feedback during and at the end of their game.

In the class, the coach provides online quizzes which they can use to revise their lesson and reinforce what they have learned.
