Cost:
$80 per workshop
($90 if paid after 5:00pm on the Tuesday before each Clinic)
Format:
Chess lessons plus a fun tournament for both Primary and Secondary students, with a maximum of 10 per group. Children will be divided into two groups by age and ability, and given lessons according to the level of the group - Rookie players will learn some basic strategies and checkmating patterns, and Intermediate/Advanced players will learn and practice some more complex tactics and traps to use in their games.
Medals will be awarded for the top scorers in the fun tournament. There will be a few breaks during the day, so each child is encouraged to bring along some food and drink.
